Summer is a great time for reflection. The time off is a chance to revisit what you value in yourself, in life, and in friendships. Whatever difficulties you encountered during the school year, revisit them over the summer and reconsider what is important to you.
Experience helps us clarify what is important to us and what we value in life, love, friendship, and work. As your values become more clear to you, you will be able to make better decisions for yourself. Saying “no” will no longer feel scary because you are moving away from something that does not support your values into a life path that does.
